What a summer it has been! As we roll into autumn, we at Maggie & Mo’s have been taking a moment to reflect on the whirlwind of the past few months. Summer 2025 has truly been one for the books – packed with events, growth, challenges, and, of course, thousands of delicious pizzas served to our incredible customers.

Maggie & Mo’s began as a dream shared by Sioned and David, a couple with a love for great food and bringing people together. What started as one unit and just the two of us has grown into something bigger and more exciting than we could ever have imagined – and this summer really showed just how far we’ve come.
In just 12 weeks, we attended an incredible 66 events – from bustling food festivals and lively markets to community gatherings and private celebrations. Each one brought its own energy, new faces, and plenty of pizza love. It was full-on, fast-paced, and at times exhausting, but above all, it was pure joy.

This summer also brought us something we couldn’t control – the incredible heat. The weather was amazing, with weeks of blazing sunshine and record temperatures, but it certainly created challenges when working with ovens running at full blast. We had to get creative to survive it: cool boxes, insulated cabinets, and every motorised fan Amazon could deliver became our best friends. Somehow, with plenty of grit (and a lot of airflow!), we made it work.
Another highlight has been the growth of our brilliant team. Maggie & Mo’s has always been about people as much as pizzas, and this year our staff family expanded in the best possible way. From familiar faces stepping up to new team members diving straight in, the support, hard work, and energy they’ve shown has been incredible. Together, we’ve faced long shifts, hot days, and busy queues – and done it all with smiles.

This summer also marked a huge milestone: two units on the road. That’s right – Elvis the Airstream was often out alongside our second portable setup, meaning we could say “yes” to more events and reach more of you than ever before. Seeing both units serving at the same time was such an exciting step forward – a glimpse of what’s possible as we continue to grow ( watch this space on us adding more)

And the response? Absolutely overwhelming. We had record sell-outs, queues that stretched, and thousands of pizzas flying out of the ovens. The love we’ve received for our food this summer has blown us away. Whether you came back for your favourite or tried something new, every Pizza sold reminded us why we’re on this journey.
As summer turns to autumn, we’re not slowing down. The diary is filling, Elvis is polished, and the ovens are hot. You’ll find us back at Newcastle Emlyn Market every Wednesday, and at plenty more events as the leaves turn.
